The leadership of REAL Education PAC have both been professional Republican and Democratic staffers in the U.S. Congress (does it get more NOVA than that?) Almost all of us work with Democrats and Republicans in our advocacy roles.
We are focused on Fairfax County, which has non-partisan school board positions. However, all of the current sitting school board members are endorsed by the Democratic Party of Virginia.
We strive to be a truly bipartisan organization because we are focused on our kids and improving FCPS, not improving national political discourse (that is next on our list to fix. One step at a time.)
Because our group is full of professional and passionate advocates many of our advocates contribute to campaigns and plan to contribute to FCPS School board races in 2027. May the best candidates win!
One of our goals is to create a scorecard/voting card that will serve as a resource to help you pick the most pro-student learning candidates with your vote.
Most importantly, we want to provide the public with information on these important issues to so many of us living in Fairfax County.
We are also equally as focused on Virginia state wide elections.
There are 140 delegates and senators, so everyone can choose their own adventure when it comes to politics. We are currently working with other state wide groups (such as the leaders of Distraction Free Schools, Virginia) to stay on top of what’s going on in Richmond.
We have great champions on this issue on both sides of the isle in Virginia. If you are interested in supporting candidates on either side in their reelection campaigns, we are happy to point you towards our champions.
